Place the chicken drumsticks on an ovenproof tray (preferably with a lipped edge to catch any juices). Preheat your oven following the oven temperatures advised on the pack of chicken drumsticks (cooking times will vary according to the size of the chicken drumsticks). Remove the skin if you prefer a lower fat option. However, the chicken will not be as moist with the skin removed.
About 10 minutes before the end of cooking, take the drumsticks out of the oven and brush with your favorite BBQ dipping sauce. Return to the oven and cook for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, turn the drumsticks, brush on more BBQ sauce and return to the oven for the remaining 5 minutes.
Ensure the chicken is thoroughly cooked through. Apply more BBQ sauce if required and cook again on both sides for a few minutes.
